FAQs
How should I was my jeans?
We recommend, for all of our jeans, that you initially soak your jeans only if you desire to soften up the fabric and feel as you wear them. Be aware, though, that this will typically result in a more even and lower contrast fade. After the initial soak, only ever wash your jeans in cold water, inside out, and by themselves for the first few washes. If washed with other clothes, there is a risk of blue dye bleeding onto other clothing items in the same wash.
How long should I wear my jeans before I wash them?
This all depends on how often you wear your jeans. If you are an avid denim head, we hope, and wear your jeans everyday, we recommend getting that first wash in somewhere around the three month mark, but no later. If worn much beyond that, the bacteria that collects on the denim will start to weaken and wear out the denim material, which can lead to holes or premature wearing out.
What does “RAW DENIM” mean?
Raw denim essentially means that the jeans haven’t been finished, whether that be chemically or by hand. There are many methods of finishing jeans in order to achieve fading, whiskering, fraying and other desired aesthetics. By producing only raw denim jeans, we create collections that not only last much longer than your typical off the rack, soft laundered jeans, but that also fade naturally to the way your body fits within them.
Will my jeans shrink?
Like any garment, when heat is applied, whether in the washing or drying stage, it is subject to shrink. We recommend that you buy your jeans at the size you typically wear and follow the care instructions clearly stated on the care tag, located on the inside of the waistband of each pair of jeans.
What if my jeans need repaired?
We do offer free repairs for the lifetime of the garment. This includes, but is not limited to, crotch and knee blowouts, popped button, tears, shortening inseam, etc. The only exception to this is that we cannot shrink or increase the size of the waist of any garment. See Shipping & Returns for more info.
